Today our family went on the "Great Pumpkin Hunt." We packed up the car and headed out to the pumpkin patch. We kind of felt like Charlie Brown. We walked row after row and Sutton was having a blast. We kept finding the "perfect" pumpkin and decided to use Sutton as the pumpkin marker... Obviously, as you can tell from the picture, we have learned that we can't turn our back on our little guy. He's already getting into trouble. As we started back to the original pumpkin that Sutton was holding for us, we noticed that Sutton fell into peer pressure. So, we've already had to have the "talk" with him!

Fall Is Around The Corner

I just returned from a "less then 24 hour & closer to 12 hour" trip up north. I've been asked to sit on the Castaway Committee which oversees the camps annual grind. Young Life properties are absolutley amazing in how they operate and to think that YL owns 22 properties nationwide just blows me away. The ideas and suggestions from last nights meeting are only going to make Castaway that much better. Thanks to Greg Johnson for his great leadership as the Property Director.

As I drove north on a gloomy Thursday, I couldn't help be reminded of the Creator's hand. The trees were beginning to change color and the reds, yellows and oranges were just pop'in!! Man was it a beautiful drive yesterday. Glad to be home tonight with the fam and get the opportunity to have our friend Katie over for dinner with her 2 girls.

I Couldn't Resist

I think that this picture captures the joy's of working out of the home. If I were on the road traveling day in and day out or confined to an office in downtown Minneapolis, I would miss these precious moments. Sutton has been such a blessing to our family and his little personality continues to blossom each and every day. Is this cute or what? Sorry for the rain on the window. It is a cold, wet day in the Twin Cities area....

We recently finished this Senior Picture sitting with Brittany. I just have to tell you that Brittany mentioned to me before the shoot that she was "camera shy," and quote, "I don't really know how to pose for pictures." Oh really Brittany! You are a pro! I'm back

I was off yet again for the 3rd time in less then 1 month to Castaway Club, a Young Life property in Detroit Lakes, MN. This past weekend was the annual Leadership Weekend Conference where 200-300 Young Life volunteers gather for 2 days of fun, fellowship and faith. It is so encouraging to see the growth that has happened over the past couple of years. I had a blast with the Scott County Leaders (Poly, Titus, Mindy, Jessica & Chris). It was a great opportunity to get to know each other on a more personal level. Congrats again to Mindy and Titus on the news of their engagement!! I woke up on Saturday morning and much to my surprise the temperature was in the high 30's to low 40's. Bbrrrr!! I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures from around camp.

I have met SO many amazing friends since I have begun pursuing photography. The network amongst photographers is absolutely amazing! Thank You...

Happy Birthday to me.... Thank you to my wonderful wife for making me my FAVORITE Birthday treat... Cherry Pie! Um Um Um!! We spent the day just hanging out around the house with the family and then Grandma stopped over to baby sit while Shan and I hit the dance floor. We were joined by some friends for a night of celebrating and dancing.



Thank you to ALL of you that sent cards and to my family for the wonderful gifts. A big thank you to my cousin Scott for calling to wish me a Happy B-Day on Sept. 3rd (a day late). However you must give him credit because he did mention that he was calling on Tahiti time. lol! All and all it was a fun day but the Cherry Pie was the best surprise of all!!! Love you Shan!!

Nap Time is Over

Sutton has not be sleeping as much as he usually does during his morning nap. I wonder if he is starting to out grow the 2 nap a day schedule. It is absolutely amazing to me how he just continues to develop and explore new things each day. We often find him sitting up in his crib and last night he turned his mobile on all by himself. CRAZY! Before you know it, he's going to be asking for the car keys.
