4 more days....

Our time of 3 is drawing to an end. The excitement is in the air as we prepare for Baby Dodds #2. Please keep Shannon, Sutton and Ben but especially Shannon in your prayers as she goes in for another C-section on Friday. We can't wait to share with you Baby #2's name.... any guesses? Stay tuned for upcoming pictures!

Intimate Moments...

This morning was so precious.... Once again those moments you can't help but treasure. As I went to put my 1 yr old son, Sutton, on the floor after our morning dance together, he retreated and crawled back up in my arms. Sutton rested his head on my shoulder and we just stood their embraced for what seemed like an hour. I hope I never forget those treasurable times!!

Say it ain't so....

How can it be that it is only November 20th and families already have their Christmas trees permantly displayed in their family/living rooms? What happened to the good 'ole days when families would put up the tree on Thanksgiving or the weekend after the big feast? I've also noticed that there are lights, still scenes, and now 10' snow globes in the front yards. We live in Minnesota and don't have snow, yet the snow globes are in rare form. I am ALL for the decor but it just seems be getting earlier and earlier. As I write this, I feel like Scrooge.... That's not it at all. I'm just wondering why we have to set this stuff up & out SO early?

On that note... when does your family set up their Christmas tree? Do you have any family traditions around Thanksgiving?

Change is in the air

We are in the final countdown before baby #2 arrives. We are soaking up every opportunity with Sutton, for it will not be just the 3 of us for much longer. We are excited about the birth of our second little boy. We've narrowed our name search down but are still looking for suggestions from any of you.... feel free to leave a comment if you've got any ideas!

This afternoon I got to spend some time with some friends while we took their family portrait. It was such a beautiful afternoon and with the temps reaching 55 degrees it made it hard to believe that we are into November. I can't wait to post the slideshow from our time together today. It is going to be a whirlwind of a photo weekend. Friday afternoon I had the opportunity to take a family portrait for some friends of ours. I had a great time hanging out with Jeff and Aimie and the boys. It was a little cold but everyone braved the temps and we were able to capture some beautiful memories.
