Queen of Her Castle

My folks are in town for the weekend and my mom and I were going through some photos on her MacBook. I grabbed this photo from her of my Grandma. The story is so great behind this photo. My Grandma was voted Queen of the Masonic Home (the nursing home that she lives in) a few months ago. She retains her title for 1 year from time of the announcement. She was asked to wear her tiara for 1 week to each meal she attended. Looking pretty darn good for 98 years old. You go girl!!!

Too Cute....

I love these intimate moments that I am so blessed to catch in our family. I hope that you get to slow down in your daily grind and catch these moments in your family. Good night!

We're HOME!!

We've arrived home from our 1 month long trip to Malibu Club in Egmont, British Columbia. We had a great time serving at Malibu and were blessed with the opportunity to meet a bunch of new friends. As you can tell, our surroundings were absolutely beautiful. I just wanted to post a few photos that we took while away. It's good to be home but we will sure miss our friends and the beauty of Canada. I will post more photos soon! We hope you are doing well and look forward to catching up with you all soon....

Peace,

Pike's Place Market

Here are a few photos from our time in downtown Seattle. We didn't get a chance to tour the entire downtown area because the boys had to take naps in the morning. However, we did hit up Pike's Place and had the chance to enjoy breakfast at Lowell's inside the market. Our friend Bill suggested we eat there, Thanks Bill! Enjoy these photos!!! They were taken with Shannon's point and shoot camera, not bad hey!

Malibu on demand...

This is an aerial photo above Malibu

This is the view from outside our cabin

Here are just a couple of random photos that I thought I'd post. I am borrowing photos from my friends Brady, Ashley and Ryan's cameras and some of those photos might be posted here. These are shots of camp and of our friends relaxing while listening to our new friend Ryan Ahlwardt play some tunes from James Taylor and a few of his own tasty licks on the guitar. Check out Ryan's stuff on Itunes or on his website...it is worth the purchase! Ryan and I wrote a song while away at Malibu and I'm hoping that it will be recorded in the near future so we can share it with the rest of the world. Just keep thumbin' through photos and have many more to share...

Peace,

W

This was my first crack at a "W" Hotel. It was nice but for some reason my expectations were a little higher. I think Shan and I are going to have to try a 4 star sometime in the near future.... It didn't seem to have the flavor that a high end hotel should have when you've got your 2 kiddos along for the evening...ha ha!!! We were hoping to sleep in and get caught up on the rest that we've been missing over the past month. Not gonna happen when you arrive to the hotel at 1:30 am and the boys are up at 6:00am. Oh well...There's always another trip!!

Peace,
BD
