Our Turn...

My wife's friend Lynn keeps nagging us to post some pictures from our time at the Apple Orchard this past Saturday. Just kidding Lynn! We love that you want to see the most recent photos of our boys. You rarely get to see them (oh wait, you seen them on iChat everyday). We had a great time picking apples and riding on John (the John Deere tractor) for our hayrack ride out to the apple fields. Great memories...the boys ate like 5 apples each. Maybe that's why they've had the upset stomaches lately, ah ha!!! Hope you are having a great day!!

We'll it was an early morning session this morning and I have to thank Katie, Chris and Alex for waking up early to beat the bright shining sun. We had a great time swinging with mom and dad, playing in the bark and throwing leaves around. We had a wonderful time together. This was Alex's 4 shoot with me and I'm in negotiations of asking him to be my assistant now. Thanks you guys!!! Enjoy your slideshow...

This weekend was an action packed weekend full of family time, apple pickin' and photo shoots. We spent some time on Saturday morning with our friends, the Robert's, at the Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard in Jordan. What a beautiful day to pick apples, ride ponies, spend time with family and create memories. Thanks for letting us hang out with your family. What a great day. Enjoy your slideshow!

Everyday Life Around Our House...

Guess what happens when you punch, kick & scream at your little brother....TIME OUT!

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Next He created the Cabbage Patch Kids, YEAH!

Here are just a couple shots from around our house over the past several days. The boys are growing up and playing together (well some of the time). I wouldn't change a thing about this parenting thing...what an awesome gift to watch these 2 little ones grow and develop from newborns to babies to little boys. I love being a dad!

Moto Moto...CROSS

This past weekend I had a chance to go with some of my friends from Young Life down to watch Motocross for the 1st time in my life. Our friend Jeff was racing and so I thought I'd try to grab a couple of shots of him while he was in action. I thought these turned out pretty stinkin' sweet! This motocross thing is pretty intense. They even have a PeeWee track for kids to race on. If your kid is 4+ years old then you're in....It's kind of like being at the fair at this place. Enjoy the pix's!

Ju Ju (from Sutton)

CLICK HERE TO VIEW JULIA'S SLIDESHOW

Saturday was a 2 for 1 shoot. 2 cousins in 1 day. Julia and James are cousins and they went to the park together to play with each other. Julia loves to swing and she is so adorable when she is going back and forth on the swing. She yells, "wee wee!" In fact, she calls the swing, the "wee." Thanks again for the opportunity to photograph your family spending some quality time together. Julia, thank you as well for taking one for the team and eating an ice cream cone at 10:30 in the morning. I'm sure that it was a real struggle, ha ha!!! Enjoy your show....

Enjoy your show!

Mr. T

Today I had the opportunity to take photographs of Mr. T! Well not really the "I pity the fool" Mr. T but rather our friend Tegan. As you can tell by his photos, he loves the camera. He did an awesome job as we were taking him all over the place to capture his wonderful smile. Thanks again for being such a good sport! Enjoy

Vikings Kick Off...

Sutton sportin' his 1st Vikings Jersey, thanks Unlce Kirk....

Both of the boys absolutely love these trains.... S&S Railroad will be coming to a railyard near you very soon

The Vikings open the season against the Atlanta Falcons today. We aren't really very interested in the Vikings this season. Yes, it's football but this team has had so many on and off the field problems not to mention so many different coaching staffs over the last couple of years that they make it hard to follow them. Plus, we'd rather play football with the boys in our living room then turn on the tube. I'm more of a fair weather fan then Shan but then again she grew up in this Purple People Eater Nation. Have a great NFL weekend!!!

Communication...

Just a couple of boys livin' da life....I love their facial expressions here!! Isn't it great when kids use facial expressions to communicate what they want or how they are feeling. It encourages me to consider how I communicate through expression and how others might possibly receive my expression...uummmm!! Getting awfully deep for a Friday!

Hot Mama

Shannon had a chance to go out yesterday afternoon and get a haircut that she won a the Young Life Auction last spring. She was off to Twiggs Salon & Spa in Wayzata for a little hair love. I was at working while she was away and I received a text message about 45 minuntes after Shannon was supposed to be at her appointment. Her text read, "OMG this is crazy!" I wasn't really sure what she was talking about but I knew that this salon was very high class so I was guessing that she was wowed by the environment. Needless to say, she arrived home almost 3 hours later and had a new hair style/cut, hair highlighted, eyebrows waxed & tinted, eyelashes tinted and a full face of make up. WOW!!! When she went to check out after all the beautifying had taken place the cahsier inputted all the different services that she'd received and asked Shannon for "$700, please." After Shan picked her jaw up off the floor she politely handed the lady the gift card from the auction. YIKES!!! I have to admit, I was completely blown away when she walked in the door. Doesn't she look stunning!!!! Unfortunately, we didn't get to take very many photos because I had to leave for Campaigners but I did want to share at least 1 on the photos that I grabbed. I have a funny one as well but I best get Shan's approval before posting it!! Have a great day!!!

Minneapolis Farmers Market

Shan telling me not to take her picture...and threatened my life if I posted it online. This one is for you my sweetie

The only reason I took this photo is because it said, "Sweet." I thought of Shannon as soon as I saw this sweet onion basket

I always love heading down to the Farmers Market in downtown Minneapolis. If you love people watching then this should be one of your top 10 places to head. I took some photos that would remind me of summer when the frigid temperatures drop to 0 degrees and I start developing the winter blues. So many different veggies to choose from. One of the Farmers Market's food highlights is the grilled sweet corn. Enough from me.... Enjoy the day!!!
