"Lookin' Good"....

CLICK HERE TO VIEW YOUR SENIOR PICTURE SLIDESHOW!!!

The other day I had a fun photo shoot with EP Senior Patrick R. I had to title this post, "Lookin' Good," because of what happened on our session. Patrick wasn't really into having to get his senior photos taken so we started out a little slow. I was just trying to get him to realize that this was not going to be a painful process. After a few photos behind a fence where nobody could see us, I decided to move the shoot to a main street in Eden Prairie. I could tell Patrick was not super excited about being out in the open while getting his photos but he did a good job of going with the flow. It gets better.... We spent 10 min in this location and as we finished and began to walk away Patrick's cell lit up. He received a text message from a friend of his...."Lookin' Good!" Patrick's biggest fear happened...someone saw him during his shoot. We got a good laugh out of it and he loosened up and I'm not sure if he'll admit it or not but he seemed to have a good time in the end! Have a great senior year at EPHS Patrick...

Peace,
BD

Sutton & Shaeffer Walk For Hope...

Sutton and Shaeffer will be participating in the 2nd annual Minneapolis HOPE WALK THIS SUNDAY JUNE 29. Hope Walks is an organization which promotes children helping other children... We believe there is no time like the present to teach the boys about helping and serving others. This walk is one of the ways we intend to show them how important it is to LOVE not only those in our neighborhoods and immediate circles, but those in far away countries. Hope Walks is an event that helps to raise money for education and resources around the area of HIV for children and orphans in these countries...

Hope Walks began with a passion to raise awareness of the growing number of children and orphans affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. As participants in the walk, we are provided with education about the global orphan crisis and given an opportunity to raise funds through a walk with other children, families, and friends. If you would like to help us give hope to orphans who, like children anywhere in the world, want to be loved and have a secure future, you have a couple options...

1. COME WALK WITH US... You can register the day of the event (Sunday June 29th) at Mt. Normandale Lake Bandshell
(84th and Chalet Road) at 9:45 am...

2. Sponsor Sutton and Shaeffer as they walk: CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR SUTTON AND SHAEFFER This sponsorship can be for any amount of money... EVEN $1.00 can help! Sponsorships are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt if desired... (this website is secure)

Proceeds from Hope Walks in Minneapolis 2008 will support the programs of Hope Walks and Heal Africa in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo working with orphans and vulnerable children effected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Thank you for your support!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY....MOM & DAD!!!

Today is my Mom & Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary! CONGRATULATIONS!!! 40 Years...WOW!! We had a blast helping them celebrate forty years of wedding bliss. For starters, my poetic wife helped lead them on a series of clues as they began the "Annivasing Race," clearly a take off of the Amazing Race on ABC. The Race began nearly one week ago as the clues redirected them from Chicago to Minnesota. After a visit from Lynn to pick up her "awfully large diamond" and several visits from the postal carrier they were on their way to Minneapolis. A brief stop to see the "boys" (their grandkids) they were wisked away to the best sleep they've ever had. No seriously, my sisters, Shannon and I put them up in a luxurious hotel in downtown Minneapolis, The Chambers. Two nights in downtown Minneapolis, dinner at Restaurant Alma & 112 Eatery, Mpls Farmers Market and a photo session with Ben Dodds Photography. They seem refreshed and on their way to 10 more wonderful years (with just a couple of minor disagreements, ha). We'll probably be broke by their 50th so hopefully they savored this milestone....Once again, Happy Anniversary!

Love you guys,
All of us
